Why Rent From Us? For the paddlers who prefer to go it alone, Florida Bay Outfitters has a large and varied rental fleet. Whether you choose to explore the 99 mile wilderness waterway or splash around with a few friends out in the bay, we have it all here. We offer sea kayaks, sit-on-tops and recreational play boats from Perception, Necky, Old Town, Current Designs, Wilderness Systems, Ocean Kayak and Hobie. Canoeists will enjoy the quality of Old Town Canoes. Our kayak and canoe rental prices include all necessary equipment and safety gear: paddles, life jackets, sprayskirts, bilge pumps, paddlefloats, chart and car-top carrier (if needed). All Poly touring sea kayaks receive an upgrade from an aluminum paddle to fiberglass. Composite touring kayaks are equipped with graphite paddles and neoprene sprayskirt. Also available for rent to the overnight paddler is a large selection of camping equipment especially suited to this environment: well ventilated no-see-um mesh Eureka tents, lightweight Kelty sleeping bags, ground pads by Thermarest, Coleman lanterns and stoves, compression coolers, etc. We also rent snorkel equipment! If your group has no prior paddling experience we suggest taking one of our guided half-day excursion’s which includes basic paddling instruction. This way you will find your first outing to be more relaxing and enjoyable. If you still prefer to go on your own a video containing basic paddling skills, general boating information, and safety precautions will be shown before boat launching. Don't forget!
